E MAT 225 EA Calculus 3 – Multivariable Calculus

  • Tue:6:20 pm – 8:20 pm Room B 307
  • Thu: 6:20 pm – 8:20 pm Room B 307

Calculus – Mulit-Variable Edition or the Single / Multi-variable Edition

by McCallum, Hughes-Hallet et al.

4th Ed

There will be 2 in class exams plus a cumulative final. Each exam is worth 100 points and the final is worth 200 points. The lowest 100 points will be dropped.

There will be additional assignments that will be counted as part of the final (approximately 10%).

Sample Grade Calculation: Exam 1: 85/100, Exam 2: 80/100, , final 140/200.
Since the final (70/100) is the lowest grade, the grades used are 85 + 80+ 70 = 235/300
Final Grade: 235/300 = 78 = C+

A graphing calculator is required.  Suggested is a TI 83, TI 86 or TI 89. If you do not know how to use the features of this calculator, it is advised you bring the manual with you.

MATH Center:

Students are strongly encouraged to make use of the Math Center, B 130.  The Math Center has both scheduled tutoring sessions and drop in help.  Also available in the Math Center is the Instructor Answer Manual which contains the answers to all problems fully worked out. The Manual can be borrowed but not removed from the Center.  The answer Manual is also available in the Library.  I suggest you save your money and not buy the student answer key as it contains few answers with no worked out problems.
